The new Pima County RACES website is now online. The site has been redesigned for several reasons mostly aimed at enhancing usability. By providing easier methods for core RACES members to update the site, we hope to be able to provide more up to date information to our members.
All members will need to use the "Register" link located under the "Meta" heading to the right of the page. Pick a username and enter your email address, callsign and badge number. After registration you will be emailed a temporary password to the email address you have provided on the registration page. If you use the link provided in the email, you will be taken to the system administration pages where you will be able to set your permanent password to something more easily remembered and also update or add missing personal information as desired. When you are finished, simply click on the "View site" link located at the top left of the page next to the heading where it says "Pima County RACES". You may return to your personal information page during later visits to the website by clicking "Site Admin" under the "Meta" heading after you login.
After you first register you may notice nothing seems to change on the website. This is due to the fact that this website is intended primarily for use by Pima County RACES members. To help us insure that someone registering to use this site is a current member, each registration is verified, usually within 24 hours. After verification, your access level will be upgraded and you should then see additional options in the menus available to members only after you login.
If you are a "Home Unit" participant without a current Pima County RACES badge, enter HU or Home Unit instead of a badge number when registering. If you are a regular participant, verified with the net manager, in the Southern Region RACES net, you will be granted member only access.
